Job Summary:

Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy.  Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.

Adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach courses in the Art and Design Curriculum: Graphic and Web Design. Responsibilities include teaching Graphic Design and Visual Communication courses including but not limited to digital media foundations, graphic design, typography, publication design, web design, interaction design (UI/UX), motion graphics and interactive media. Depending upon the program’s needs and the candidate’s qualifications, teaching assignments may be on LCC’s downtown campus, at an extension center (within 40 miles of the downtown campus), and/or via online delivery methods. Adjunct faculty are expected to work collaboratively with senior department faculty to develop course content consistent with official course syllabi, to deliver course instruction to students and to be available for student assistance and advising outside of class. Additional responsibilities may include participation in course assessment, department/program meetings, professional development activities and other duties as assigned.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university in an art related discipline.

Portfolio reflecting 5 years or more of related work.
