This position is responsible for assisting the Program Director in ensuring the successful daily operation of the Trades Technology Labs – Building Construction, HVAC, Electrical, Lineworker, Architecture, and Civil Technology. Their duties include, but are not limited to: Material handling, purchasing and maintaining lab consumables and supplies, equipment oversight and maintenance as well as providing assistance in maintaining clean and safe laboratory environments. This position is also responsible for annual equipment change out, maintaining vendor relations, organizing and maintaining cold storage, room safety and oversight, staying current on the latest industry equipment and standards, and providing oversight of work assignments/projects for PT Lab Assistants and student employees. Additionally, this position will assist the Program Director by working with faculty and staff on various components of course management responsibilities including ensuring accreditation standards are met, resources are available to ensure appropriate course outcomes, as well as working to develop methods to expand programs and increase student enrollment while maintaining program quality.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in a Trades related area; OR, a combination of relevant education and documented work experience in a skill trades area.
• Experience in coordinating supply orders and maintaining vendor relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous classroom teaching experience preferred
• Successful experience working in education or a training environment
