Job Summary:
Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.

The Lineworker Adjunct Instructor must be able to effectively communicate and demonstrate knowledge of specific technical skills in climbing, construction and maintenance of electrical lines at the Great Lakes Center for Utility Training in both a lab and classroom environment to a diverse student population. The successful candidate will be able to adjust instructional technique as required by student’s learning style while maintaining a positive learning environment. They must have the ability to collaborate with students and peers in order to establish a positive and collaborative learning environment along with providing a safe, operational and positive learning environment for our students and fellow faculty members where safety is not compromised and discipline is strictly enforced. They must be willing to teach various classes within the Electrical Technology. The successful candidate will demonstrate good climbing technique to climb wooden utility poles to a height of 40 feet. Must be current on regulations applying to electrical utility work such as OSHA, NESC, etc.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 2 years minimum experience in the field; OR Associate’s Degree in a related field and 5 years minimum experience in the field; OR Journey or Master's license (completion of an apprenticeship) and 5 years minimum experience in the field; OR Certificate in a related field and 6 years minimum experience in the field; OR HS diploma/GED and 7 years minimum experience in the field
