Job Summary:
The Testing Specialist provides exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff who utilize Testing Services at Lansing Community College. Support, administer, and proctor all tests given at the Downtown Testing Center (GB 2228). Evaluate and process waiver documents for course placement levels and prerequisite overrides; work with students and college staff on waiver processes. Investigate submitted waiver documents for suspicious activity, analyze data, and develop prevention strategies. Provide leadership for various opening, closing, and Saturday shifts. Assist department leaders in sustaining a department that seeks to develop creative solutions and approaches to process improvement.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
LCC policy requires all LCC employees to be residents of the State of Michigan and to perform all work (with limited exceptions) within the State of Michigan.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.

Required Qualifications:
Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and testing or student-affairs experience
Demonstrated experience in researching and analyzing data, documents, etc. or similar
Demonstrated previous customer service experience
Demonstrated previous office experience
General computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Access
Experience working in a testing environment
